Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Ohio is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our hospice team. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, document findings, and coordinate with physicians and the Clinical Team Lead to ensure optimal patient care.

Candidates should have graduation from a Licensed Massage Therapy program, active licensure, and at least two years in health care; hospice experience is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Licensed Massage Therapy Program.
• Has a current license/registration as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care field.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Performs Licensed Massage Therapy assessments, diagnostic test, skilled procedures, and ongoing evaluation for clients who are receiving services under a medically approved Plan of Care.
• Develops a massage therapy care plan to provide direction to other health team members involved in the plan of care. Reviews and updates per Agency policy and client need.
• Documents all findings, plans, interventions, and outcomes and submits documentation to the hospice office within a timely manner.
• Communicates plans and changes to the physician and to the client's Clinical Team Lead and other caregivers through the plan of care, progress notes and participation in care conferences.
• Communicates changes in schedule and physician orders to the office on the day the changes are made.
• Demonstrates exceptional service to patients, families, referral sources, co-workers, and other customers. Assists team members as needed to ensure that this level of service is consistently provided.

Education

Graduate of a Licensed Massage Therapy Program

Current license/registration as a Licensed Massage Therapist

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care field

Hospice experience preferred

Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
