Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to provide therapeutic massage to clients, support rehab, and participate in program development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply massage to assist in the rehabilitation of sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations.
• Relieve paralysis, insomnia, migraines, and other nervous system-related conditions.
• Relieve muscle tightness and shorten recovery time for injured athletes.
• Work with agents to complement massage (heat, light, hydrotherapy, and exercise).
• Submit periodic reports to treatment team or Physician for evaluation.

Job description

The Massage Therapist performs massage therapy treatments to clients, via self-referral or system referral. Participates in program development and promotion of services by providing community and staff education. Assists in developing procedures. Other duties as assigned. May be required to work alternate shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies the techniques of scientific massage to assist in the rehabilitation of sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations, as well as to help eliminate pian from neuritic, arthritic, and rheumatic conditions.
• Applies massage to relieve various forms of paralysis, insomnia, migraine headaches, and other conditions caused by poor functioning of the nervous system.
• Provides relief of muscle tightness caused by stress and shortens recovery time for injured athletes with massage therapy.
• Works with various agents to complement massage, including application of heat and light, hydrotherapy (water treatment), and exercise.
• Submits periodic reports to treatment team or Physician to provide clinical data for evaluation.

Education and Experience

Certification and Licensure

• Applicable State License to practice Massage Therapy.

PAY RANGE:

$21.85 - $32.77
