Job summary

Genesis Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated Hospice Volunteer Program Coordinator to lead orientation, training, and development of hospice volunteers across service areas. You will coordinate with hospital volunteer staff and help shape public relations and marketing efforts for Genesis Hospice.

You will maintain volunteer records, support fundraising, and provide educational opportunities while ensuring compliance with hospice regulations and program policies.

Qualifications

• This role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in hospice.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a system for tracking all volunteer activities.
• Coordinates recruiting, training, selecting, and retaining volunteers.
• Develops marketing/public relations plans to support Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
• Maintains volunteer files and conducts annual evaluations.
• Participates in fundraising and monitors volunteer availability.
• Provides educational opportunities for volunteers and staff.
• Coordinates activities with system volunteer department staff.
• Attends team meetings and reports on volunteer engagement.
• Oversees program administration and development across service areas.
