Hireology hosts a hospice client seeking a Hospice Marketer / Community Liaison to grow referrals and build healthcare partnerships through field outreach and education.

The ideal candidate has established healthcare relationships, understands hospice referrals, and can drive growth via community engagement and ongoing follow-up with partners.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hospice, home health, healthcare, or senior-care marketing/business development experience preferred.
  • Prior hospice marketing experience and an established healthcare referral network are strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of generating healthcare referrals and developing professional referral relationships.
  • Knowledge of hospice services, Medicare hospice eligibility, and the healthcare referral process preferred.
  • Strong sales, presentation, networking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday in the field.
  • Ability to organize and manage a territory independently.
  • Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, SNFs, assisted living, home health agencies, rehab facilities, senior communities, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Generate qualified hospice referrals through consistent business development and community outreach.
  • Conduct in-person sales calls, presentations, facility visits, networking activities, and educational meetings.
  • Educate referral partners about hospice services, eligibility criteria, benefits, and the referral process.
  • Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to increase census and market penetration.
  • Maintain regular communication and follow-up with existing and prospective referral sources.
  • Build relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, social workers, physicians, administrators, and directors of nursing.
  • Coordinate with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral and admission processes.
  • Track sales activities, referrals, conversions, referral sources, and follow-up using CRM or reporting systems.
  • Participate in networking events, healthcare associations, community events, facility functions, and other business-development activities.
  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities to strengthen competitive position.
  • Meet weekly and monthly activity, referral, admission, and business-development goals.
  • Represent the hospice organization professionally and ethically throughout the community.

Position Summary

Our hospice client is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Hospice Marketer / Community Liaison to increase referrals, develop strong healthcare partnerships, and expand the hospice's presence within the community.

Key Responsibilities
