Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Missouri seeks a qualified LPN/LVN to provide bedside nursing care for terminally ill patients enrolled in the VITAS program. You will administer prescribed treatments and medications under RN supervision and participate in the interdisciplinary plan of care.

The role requires licensure as an LPN/LVN, and at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting. A flexible schedule and teamwork with the interdisciplinary team are essential for patient comfort

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct skilled bedside nursing care.
• Evaluates patient/family needs and assists in the plan of care for each patient on the team.
• Performs nursing duties under supervision, including administration of treatments and medications.
