Job summary

Sentara Hospice is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide basic nursing care under supervision in a fast-paced hospice setting. The role requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to support RNs and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.

The position is full time, day shift (Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM) in Newport News, VA, with an hourly wage range of $22.39–$37. We offer market-competitive compensation, base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Trade School Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse program (Required).
• LPN license in VA (Required).
• BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under supervision of RN or LIP.
• Assist in patient care and support physicians and higher level nurses.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records as required.
