Job summary

Preferred Hospice of Missouri is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ozark, MO team. The LPN will support patients and families facing terminal illness through nursing care, symptom management, and education.

You will perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with hospice staff to ensure compassionate, comprehensive care. Requirements include Missouri LPN licensure and the ability to commute to Ozark.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed LPN in Missouri.
• Live within commutable distance to Ozark office.
• Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments and vital signs.
• Willing to train for hospice regulations and charting.
• Experience preferred, but training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, families and caregivers in coping with death and dying.

Job description

We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our team. Preferred Hospice has 5 offices across the state of Missouri, serving over 65 counties.

We are currently looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team in Ozark, MO.

The LPN will:

• Assist the patient, family and caregiver in coping with issues related to death and dying.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment and vital sign check on all assigned patients for the day.
• Occasionally provide personal care, bathing, dressing, etc to the patient.
• Communicate effectively with all hospice staff and provide all support as needed.
• Provide nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support to the patient, family, and caregivers.
• Provide education to the patient, family, and caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be currently licensed in the State of Missouri as an LPN and live within a commutable distance to the office.

Reliable transportation and car insurance required.

Hourly rate and mileage reimbursement provided. Recent company-wide increase in mileage benefit!

Benefits available for Full Time.

Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person! We can teach you hospice regulations, medications, and charting. We are looking for nurses who know how to love and provide hands‑on care to patients facing a terminal illness.
