Job summary

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a Director of Intake, a Registered Nurse who provides strategic leadership and oversight of the intake department, ensuring timely referrals, admissions, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service across locations.

Working with Business Development and referral sources, you will direct daily operations, mentor the Intake Coordination team, optimize workflow, monitor performance, and uphold Medicare HIPAA/state requirements while driving growth

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing with hospice experience.
• Willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Hospice or home health experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the Intake Coordination team.
• Partner with the Business Development team and referral sources to drive referral growth.
• Lead and mentor the Intake team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Oversee the referral and admission process to ensure timely and accurate patient admissions.
• Monitor departmental performance and referral trends to support census growth.
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership to optimize workflow and resolve barriers.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, HIPAA, state requirements, and policies.
• Develop standardized intake processes, policies, and procedures across locations.
• Promote exceptional customer service and maintain relationships with referral sources, patients, families, and partners.
• Utilize data and dashboards to drive continuous quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Maintain staffing levels and support ongoing education, engagement, and retention.
• Support strategic growth initiatives.
