Job summary

Allied Services in Scranton, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee patient care in the General Inpatient Hospice Unit under the Clinical Director. You will provide skilled nursing care to patients, families and caregivers as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with Hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation and state licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years general nursing experience; hospice experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees patient care in the General Inpatient Hospice Unit and coordinates with the IDT.
• Performs initial and ongoing nursing assessments and updates the care plan.
• Implements and reevaluates the plan of care to meet patient needs.
• Supervises Hospice LPNs, aides and volunteers.
