Job summary

JOL Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Homemaker to provide non-medical support to patients in their homes, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the care plan.

You will travel locally to patient homes, maintain safety and cleanliness, and report changes to the interdisciplinary team while following infection control procedures and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous caregiving or homemaker experience preferred; hospice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide light housekeeping, meal planning and companionship.
• Assist with patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Observe and report changes to supervising staff.
• Maintain safe, clean home environments; adhere to infection control.
