Qualifications

• State of New Mexico nursing license or compact state license required.
• RN license is required in addition to ADN.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinically competent in providing direct patient care and evaluates outcomes.
• Coordinates patient care with patients, families, and other disciplines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospice philosophy and supports patients and families.
• Ensures patients understand their rights and informed consent during admission.
• Directs own educational needs for ICD9 codes and hospice care.
• Supervises home health aide in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules.
