Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Florida seeks a Chaplain to join an interdisciplinary team and attend to the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff. You will provide pastoral care interventions and counseling based on spiritual assessments and the specific clinical setting.

You will collaborate with clinicians to support patients facing illness, loss and death, uphold compassion, and respect diverse beliefs while promoting comfort and dignity at end of life.

Qualifications

• Ordination or Commission to function in pastoral care.
• Endorsement in good standing with faith body.
• Five years pastoral experience preferred (two in a clinical setting).
• 1 unit (400 hours) of CPE or equivalent, preferably two or more.
• Equivalencies to CPE include supervisory/ministry experience, certs, or advanced degrees.
