Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a nonprofit hospice provider in the DFW Metroplex to hire a compassionate Hospice Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for in‑home end‑of‑life care. You will work under an RN to provide hands‑on personal care and support families throughout the hospice journey.

Reporting to the HHA Supervisor, you’ll follow care plans, assist with transfers, monitor conditions, document changes, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved HHA/CNA training program/competency evaluation.
• Minimum of 1 year of HHA/CNA experience in hospice/home health/long-term care preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English; time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in home environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and ambulation following agency policies.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager.
• Support nutrition, hydration, comfort, and activities of daily living.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment.
• Follow individualized care plans, infection control practices, and hospice standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Protect patient privacy and respect personal property.
• Perform assigned treatments and procedures according to agency policies.
• Uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards of quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
