Job summary

The Staff Pad in Dallas–Fort Worth area partners with a leading nonprofit hospice to hire a compassionate Hospice Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for in-home care. Under RN supervision you will provide hands-on care, comfort, and dignity, and support families throughout the hospice journey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved HHA/CNA training program/competency evaluation.
• Minimum 1 year of HHA/CNA hospice/home health/long-term care experience preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and manage time well.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility in home settings.
• Must pass background check, competency evaluation, TB test, and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and ambulation following policies.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to the RN Case Manager.
• Support nutrition, hydration, comfort, and daily living activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment.
• Follow individualized care plans, infection control practices, and hospice standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Protect patient privacy and respect personal property.
• Perform assigned treatments and procedures according to agency policies.
• Uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards of quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
