Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a general care setting. The role requires an associate degree in nursing with BSN preferred, and Maryland RN licensure.

A minimum of two years’ clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, hospice, palliative, or home care, is expected. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; preferred in long term care, hospice, palliative, or home care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Nursing Process to assess and formulate diagnoses.
• Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care.
• Coordinates patient, family, and health team in planning.
• Performs clinical nursing skills independently; administers medications and IV therapy.
• Initiates emergency procedures as necessary and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Provides patient/family education and discharge planning.
