Job summary

Mission Healthcare in Portland, OR is seeking a skilled sales professional to grow hospice services among physician networks, hospitals, and referral sources. You will build relationships, educate providers on hospice benefits, and drive referrals while representing Mission Healthcare with integrity.

The role requires 2+ years in healthcare sales or business development, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive, field-ready mindset. Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• 2+ years of healthcare sales, business development, or account management experience; hospice/home health/senior care preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; public speaking ability.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs, assisted living and other referral sources.
• Generate hospice referrals by educating providers on hospice services and referral criteria.
• Conduct sales calls, presentations and community education events to promote hospice awareness.
• Serve as liaison between referral sources, patients, families, and the hospice clinical team.
• Ensure excellent customer service and follow-up with partners.
• Collaborate with intake/admissions teams for smooth transitions of new patients.
• Maintain records of sales activities and market feedback.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and monitor resource allocation.
• Provide leadership in strategic planning and market knowledge.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
• Monitor market conditions and competitor activity; provide feedback to leadership.
• Monitor cost-effective marketing efforts.
