Job summary

Halcyon Home in Tomball, TX seeks a compassionate and professional Registered Nurse with hospice leadership experience to serve as Hospice Director of Nursing. The DON will oversee clinical departments, staffing, and patient care quality for our geriatric hospice population.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in hospice or palliative care leadership.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and standards.
• Home Care Home Base experience preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates clinical departments; ensures continuity, quality, and safety of services under regulatory standards.
• Leads a team of nurses and caregivers to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Promotes Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality patient care.
• Participates in IDG/T planning and QAPI activities.
• Ensures compliance with fiscal intermediary and third-party payors through education and guidance.
