Job summary

Halcyon Home is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as Hospice Director of Nursing (DON) in Tomball, TX. You will lead clinical departments, ensure quality patient care, and uphold regulatory standards in a growing geriatric hospice program.

The role requires BSN, TX RN licensure, and at least 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in hospice leadership. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas.
Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with 1 year in a leadership role in hospice or palliative care.

Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates clinical departments; ensures continuity, quality, and safety of services.
Promotes hospice philosophy and administrative policies to assure quality patient care.
Supervises staff and ensures compliance with Plan of Care and regulatory standards.
Monitors QAPI program and implements corrective actions.
Participates in IDG/T planning and related hospice activities.
