Job summary

Bristol Hospice - State College LLC in State College, PA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Sweet Dreams program and support patients in their homes.

Under RN supervision, CNAs provide personal care, comfort measures, and family communication while documenting care and reporting changes to the Case Manager.

Qualified applicants will have a CNA/HHA certification, 75 hours training, CPR, and a valid driver's license; we offer benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certification of Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide required per state regulations.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with automobile that is insured and in good working order.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality one-on-one time with patients and families to support everyday needs.
• Care for hospice patients by providing back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as needed.
• Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene as required.
• Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist patients with ambulation and exercise.
• Maintain a clean and orderly living area and adhere to care procedures.
