Job summary

Bgcarenav is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join a hospice care team in Kentucky on a PRN basis. You will work under the supervision of an RN to provide personal care and support, meeting daily needs and ensuring safety and comfort for patients.

You will observe patients, report changes, and document services provided, with emphasis on compassionate care. A valid CNA registration in Kentucky and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Currently registered as a State Nurse Aide with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Completion of a recognized Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program.
• One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting, preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, and accurately document care provided.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates empathy for individuals who are ill, frail, or impaired, and understands the philosophy of hospice care and the needs of the terminally ill.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to meet the patient’s daily needs and maintain comfort.
• Observe the patient’s condition and accurately report and document observations and the services provided.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow hospice care guidelines.
• Collaborate with the supervising RN to implement care plans.
