Job summary

Athena Home Health & Hospice in West Hartford, CT, is hiring per diem CNAs to provide in-home hospice care. The role requires an active CNA license in CT and at least one year of CNA experience; prior hospice exposure is preferred.

You will perform personal care, monitor patient conditions, and communicate with Case Managers to ensure compassionate, compliant care. We offer weekly pay, $22.25 per hour, and benefits including paid time off and health insurance options; vaccination policy applies

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in CT required.
• At least 1 year CNA experience is mandatory.
• Prior hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Provide compassionate communication with patients and families, maintaining confidentiality.
• Monitor safety and use equipment properly (chairs, rails, O2 as needed).
• Assist with meals, bathing, dressing, and daily activities as assigned.
