Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support patients in Glendale, CA. The role involves performing personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and safety monitoring under RN supervision to promote comfort and independence.

Ideal candidates are CA CNAs with HHA certification, CPR, and a valid driver’s license, preferably with hospice or home health experience. We offer competitive hourly pay, tuition reimbursement, PTO and professional development

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing and have a current Home Health Aide certification in California.
• Preferred 1 year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical settings.
• Must have completed minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Willingness to pass a background check and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and respond to patient requests promptly.
• Provide patient and family with clear, compassionate communication.
• Ensure safety and use equipment correctly; monitor vital signs when ordered.
• Assist with bathing, nutrition, mobility, dressing, and daily activities.
• Document care and report changes to the Case Manager.
