InterimHealthCare Hospice in Lawrence, KS is hiring a Hospice Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time role serving patients and families with compassion and support.

The position requires a Kansas CNA license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. 1:1 client ratios, online trainings, CEUs, and comprehensive benefits are offered to help you grow while making a difference.

Qualifications

• CNA license required in Kansas.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• CPR certification required.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Providing personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care and skin care.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Assisting in ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.

As a Hospice Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Providing personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care and skin care

• Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pules, respiration and blood pressure
• Assisting in ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways

A few must-haves for our Private Duty Companions:

• CNA License (Kansas)
• Valid Kansas driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
