Zusammenfassung

Embrace Hospice is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Hospice Aide to join our Kerrville team. You will provide 1:1 care, assist with daily activities, and support patients and families in a home-hospice setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient condition, mobility assistance, medication support under state rules, and thorough documentation. Team-based care and a stable schedule are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice
• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care
• Must be 18+ years of age
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good Organizational Skills

Aufgaben

• Provide 1:1 care to patients in Kerrville, TX and surrounding areas
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ROM exercises
• Assist with self-administered medications per state regulations
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
• Perform light housekeeping and ensure a clean patient space
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team
