Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate in-home care and support for patients and their families during a meaningful season of life.

The role includes personal care, assistance with feeding, vital signs, transfers, and safety checks, with a focus on comfort and dignity. Full-time; benefits and ongoing training available.

Qualifications

• CNA license (Kansas) required.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care and skin care.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Taking and recording temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Assisting in ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.

As a Hospice Aide, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Providing personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care and skin care

• Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure
• Assisting in ambulation, transfers and/or range of motion exercises
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways

A few must-haves for our Private Duty Companions:

• CNA License (Kansas)
• Valid Kansas driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
