Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Richmond, VA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice team. This PRN role supports patients and families under RN supervision, providing comfort-focused care in a home and clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification with CPR, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work 4pm–9pm across 2–3 days per week, with mileage reimbursement offered. Experience in hospice or community health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification of Nursing Assistant per state regulations.
• Prefer 1 year experience as aide in community health/hospice or medical/surgical.
• Complete minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised training.
• Licensed driver with insured automobile in good working order.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check before hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patient care including personal hygiene, oral care, and comfort measures as directed.
• Perform bedside routines such as back rubs, linen changes, and personal care tasks per plan of care.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility as needed and support family caregivers.
