Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide hands-on care in patients' homes, assisted living, or inpatient units. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, and offer emotional support to families.

Qualifications include active CNA license, CPR, and reliable transportation. This is a safety-sensitive, full/part-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Experience in home health, hospice, or long-term care (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility using walkers and wheelchairs
• Meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
• Observe changes in patient condition and report
• Offer emotional support to patients and families
• Document visits accurately and timely
• Attend team meetings and participate in QI activities
• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols
