Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA/Dietary Aide to join our team in southwest Florida. Responsibilities include food purchasing, meal prep, and maintaining a sanitary kitchen while meeting dietary goals for hospice patients.

You will work with the Clinical Director, Registered Dietitian, and Food Service Coordinator to ensure timely, attractively presented meals and provide CNA-level clinical support as directed by the RN.

Qualifications

• Florida State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant with a minimum of 75 education hours of theory and clinical in preparation for a CNA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year of hospice, home health, or acute-care experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred, hospice/acute-care preferred.

Responsibilities

• responsible for food purchasing and storage, meal preparation, and meal delivery in a sanitary kitchen.
• meet dietary goals and preferences of terminal patients in hospice house.
• collaborate with Clinical Director, Registered Dietitian, and Food Service Coordinator to prepare meals safely and timely.
• maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and dietary area, and perform CNA duties as needed.
• provide clinical services to meet care needs of patients as directed by RN.
