Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Belfast, ME is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our hospice team. You will work under RN supervision, delivering personal care and supporting comfort for patients and families in a home-like setting.

The ideal candidate has Maine CNA certification, 75 hours of training, CPR, and a willingness to participate in background checks. We offer comprehensive benefits, training, and a supportive work culture focused on compassionate, dignified care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Maine.
• Preferred 1 year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments.
• Must have completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with insured automobile in good working order.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, and changing bed linen.
• Assist in dressing, feeding and mobility as assigned.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered and demonstrate competency.
• Maintain a clean, safe living area and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Support plan of care and document observations in accordance with procedures.
• Provide respite for family/caregiver when on-site, as appropriate.
• Adhere to care procedures and participate in quality improvement activities.
