Job summary

Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts is seeking a part-time CNA to serve Franklin County. This on-the-road role requires traveling across the county with an insured vehicle, and weekly pay of $22–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Active and unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 1 year CNA experience.
  • Comfortable in patients' settings (nursing homes, hospitals, homes, etc.).
  • Must have insured vehicle and be willing to travel throughout Franklin County.

Responsibilities

  • Perform personal care tasks per plan of care (bathing, feeding, dressing).
  • Provide positive communication with patients and families.
  • Meet safety needs of the patient using equipment safely and properly.
  • Assist in ambulation and transfers as directed by hospice staff.
  • Record and report vital signs as ordered.

Job description

Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts is looking for a part-time CNA in Franklin County!

This is an on-the-road position that requires the candidate to have an insured vehicle and be willing to travel throughout the county. Weekly pay ranges from $22 to $24 an hour! 3 days a week from 8a-4:30p.

Experience & Education:
  • Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in this state.
  • Must be comfortable in patients' settings (skilled nursing, hospitals, homes, etc.)
  • Must have at least one year of experience as a CNA.

You perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performing personal care needs per plan of care, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
  • Providing patients and families with a positive communication chain and a friendly and professional environment.
  • Meet the safety needs of the patient using equipment safely and properly.
  • Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
  • Providing proper care and observation of the patient’s skin.
  • Assessing and reporting on the patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
  • Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
  • Provide normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed.
