Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice in Morton Grove, IL is seeking Hospice CNAs to join our growing team. New competitive salaries, immediate opening, generous time off packages, 401K + match, and more.

You will provide personal care, assist with meals, and monitor patient wellbeing under the Case Manager. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• State-certified nurse aide in good standing.
• Registered on state aide registry with a clean record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assist in feeding patients.
• Monitor skin condition to prevent tissue breakdown.
• Report patient status and changes to the Case Manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients

• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
