Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking a Clinical Manager to coordinate and direct patient care, ensuring services are delivered and managed in compliance with regulations. The role oversees the overall direction of hospice clinical services and staff performance to sustain high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with leadership experience, capable of managing staffing, budgets, and community relations while upholding compassionate care and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an NLN-accredited program.
• Three years of leadership management experience in hospice or health care.
• Two years’ direct hospice field experience.
• Ability to supervise and direct administrative personnel.
• Ability to market and engage with customers and the community.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance.
• Ability to assist with lifting and positioning patients as needed.
• Knowledge of hospice Medicare, state and federal regulations, ACHC and JCAHO standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family care with clinical staff.
• Interpret indicators to adjust staffing, revenue and expenses as needed.
• Assist in hiring, evaluating and terminating clinical personnel.
• Ensure all clinical notes, orders and practices meet quality standards.
• Orient new personnel and support ongoing education and training.
• Evaluate organization performance via PI programs and quarterly reviews.
• Maintain compliance with licensure, certification and ACHC/JCAHO standards.
• Promote hospice referrals and coordinate intake and marketing with staff.
• Oversee on-call, weekend and vacation schedules for clinical staff.
• Respond to patient complaints with top-tier customer service and timely resolution.
• Document complaints and communicate with staff accordingly.
• Audit charts and participate in regulatory reviews.
• Develop and mentor associates to meet job expectations.
• Collaborate with admissions and marketing to manage referrals.
