VitalCaring is seeking a Hospice Chaplain / Spiritual Counselor to provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families in Tucson, AZ. You will tailor care to individual beliefs and preferences, fostering dignity, comfort, and connection throughout the hospice journey.

The role emphasizes compassionate listening, grief support, and collaboration with nurses, social workers, physicians, and chaplains while maintaining clinical documentation and adhering to agency standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate theological degree required (BD/MD/MDiv or equivalent).
• Experience in hospice, death, and grief support preferred.
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess spiritual and emotional needs of patients, caregivers, and families.
• Develop and support individualized spiritual care plans.
• Provide spiritual counseling, emotional support, grief support, and compassionate presence.
• Support patients and families through difficult conversations, transitions, and end-of-life experiences.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
