Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a full-time Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients and families in Plymouth, MA. The role includes 32 hours per week on the day shift and coordination of pastoral services within the hospice team.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity, Theology or Pastoral Counseling.
• Four CPCE units (C.P.E.), two basic, two advanced or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hospice counseling practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual counseling, crisis ministry, bereavement pastoral counseling and sacramental ministry.
• Completes psycho-spiritual assessment and develops treatment plans with patient, family and hospice team.
• Liaises with area clergy and coordinates memorial services; supports hospice staff.
• Participates in Agency Quality Assurance Program and on-call responsibilities.
