Job summary

Brookhaven Hospice is seeking a full-time Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families across Bedford, Concord, and Merrimack. You will work within the IDT to honor all faiths, guiding comfort, dignity, and meaningful presence at end of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv, or equivalent theological degree) or equivalent pastoral ministry certification.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) strongly preferred.
• Experience in interfaith settings and ability to honor diverse beliefs.
• Experience in hospice, hospital, or community health care settings preferred.
• Proficient with computers and EMR systems; ability to handle stress in end-of-life scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address spiritual and emotional needs as part of the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Provide spiritual counseling and guidance for individuals and families of all faiths.
• Offer grief and bereavement support throughout the hospice journey and beyond loss.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and care team to coordinate spiritual care.
• Communicate effectively with staff and community partners to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
