Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and the hospice team. You will assist during end-of-life moments and collaborate with healthcare professionals to address spiritual needs.

The role requires a Masters of Divinity, ordination, and clinical pastoral education; board certification is preferred or eligible. A minimum of two years as a chaplain or spiritual counselor in health care is requested.

Qualifications

• Master’s of Divinity degree from an accredited theological seminary or equivalent.
• Ordained by a religious body and endorsed by proper ecclesiastical authority.
• Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from ACPE Training Center or equivalent training and experience.
• Board Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains or another national certifying commission for competency preferred or board certified eligible.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a chaplain/spiritual counselor preferably in a Hospice or health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients, families, and the hospice team.
• Assist at the time of the patient’s death and support the family during bereavement period.
