Absolute Home Health & Hospice in Caldwell, OH is seeking a compassionate Hospice Chaplain to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. You will provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families, honoring diverse beliefs and values during end-of-life care.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, collaborating with the hospice team, and offering guidance aligned with the hospice philosophy.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited theological school is preferred.
• Experience providing counseling or spiritual support.
• Knowledge of local religious and spiritual communities.
• Ability to connect with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

What You'll Do

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families.
• Offer compassionate guidance that respects each person's faith, beliefs, values, and spiritual preferences.
• Support patients and loved ones as they navigate the challenges and transitions associated with end-of-life care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to help meet the unique needs of each patient.

What We're Looking For

• A degree from an accredited theological school is preferred.
• Experience providing counseling or spiritual support to individuals from diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the religious and spiritual communities within the hospice service area.
• The ability to connect with and support patients and families from a wide variety of backgrounds.
• An understanding of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage.
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and state-required auto liability insurance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and maintain a professional, respectful, and positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
