Job summary

VIA Health Partners in Mint Hill, NC, seeks a Chaplain to serve as the spiritual care professional for the interdisciplinary team, providing care to patients and families through assessment, goals, and interventions at time of death.

This role collaborates with other disciplines, maintains caseload per standards, and may provide grief care. Duties include prayer, sacraments, and liturgical support; professional licensure and ongoing development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Divinity from accredited seminary.
• At least two units of Basic Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Minimum two years related experience and ordination or specific endorsement by a recognized religious body is required; board certification/eligibility preferred.
• Basic computer skills, using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients and caregivers, including assessment and goal-directed interventions.
• Coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary team and support family needs.
• Maintain caseload and productivity under VIA Health Partners standards.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation per guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and process improvement.
• May perform memorial services or grief care when in dual chaplain/grief role.
