Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Omaha seeks a part-time chaplain to provide spiritual assessments and support to patients, families, and caregivers in the hospice program. You will ensure timely hospice services and help with memorial planning.

You will maintain records, collaborate with the team, and build strong community relationships while honoring interfaith needs and values. A seminary degree and hospice experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing spiritual care in end-of-life settings.
• Ability to honor diverse lifestyles, cultures, and beliefs in an interfaith setting.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy and care principles.
• Graduated from an accredited seminary or school of theology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct spiritual assessments for patients, families and caregivers in hospice.
• Provide individualized spiritual support and ensure timely hospice services.
• Maintain records of spiritual care services for QA and program review.
• Collaborate on memorial services for staff, volunteers and community clergy.
• Build strong relationships within the community the hospice serves.
