Job summary

Your Health is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to serve the PEE DEE area, providing spiritual and emotional support to patients at homes and assisted living facilities, and to families during end‑of‑life care. The role involves compassionate presence, meaning‑making, and guidance across diverse faith backgrounds.

This is a salary‑based, full‑time 8‑hour shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday). The ideal candidate will have ordination, MDIV, CPE, and experience in healthcare chaplaincy, with strong

Qualifications

• MDiv or equivalent theological degree from an accredited institution.
• Ordination or endorsement from a recognized religious organization.
• CPE certification preferred.
• Experience providing spiritual care in a healthcare setting, preferably hospice or palliative care.
• Knowledge of diverse religious and spiritual traditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spiritual assessments to understand beliefs, values, and spiritual needs.
• Provide spiritual counseling and support to patients and families, addressing fears and existential questions.
• Offer prayer, scripture reading, and other spiritual rituals as appropriate.
• Facilitate meaning‑making and life review conversations for peace and closure.
• Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure holistic care and participate in meetings.
• Provide bereavement support and assist with memorial services as needed.
• Develop relationships with local clergy and faith communities.
