Job summary

Georgia Hospice Care is seeking a Spiritual Care Coordinator to guide patients and families with dignity and compassion in a hospice setting.

You will provide spiritual care support, work with the care team to develop and supervise spiritual plans, and participate in professional development with leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in counseling, theology, divinity, or related field. Completion of one unit of clinical pastoral education or minister services preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a health care or hospice setting required. Experience in family counseling regarding issues of loss, grief, death and dying
  • Required: Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 25 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively

Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual care support and guidance that honors the patient’s beliefs and values
  • Work with the care team to develop, implement, and supervise the spiritual needs of the patient and family
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a caring culture and ongoing professional development

Education

Working with the care team, you will develop, implement, and supervise the spiritual needs of the patient and family.
