As a Hospice Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant, You Will

• Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager Senior and work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and maintaining a safe, healthy environment.
• Prepare and serve light meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Assist with ambulation, including safe use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as trash removal and linen changes.
• Follow the aide plan of care and state-specific regulations for treatments.
• Encourage mental alertness through engaging activities.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Report changes in patient condition or home situation to the nurse and team.
• Demonstrate basic care techniques to primary caregivers.
• Practice infection control and standard precautions.
• Accurately document visits and participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.

About You - Requirements

• Compassionate, kind, and empathetic towards patients and families.
• Comfortable providing care in a patient's home environment.
• Able to maintain flexibility and composure during crises.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology preferred.
• Additional experience in hospital settings such as Med Surg, ER, critical care, or nursing homes is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
