Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/CNA

• Report to the Administrator or Patient Care Manager and work under RN supervision
• Assist with personal hygiene, environment, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping
• Support treatments as ordered and promote mental alertness
• Provide emotional support and report changes in patient condition
• Practice infection control and document visits accurately
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification
