Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care under RN supervision in the Hendersonville area of Tennessee.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal support, and health monitoring, with emphasis on safety and clear communication with families and staff. Requires CNA and CPR, plus state-accepted MVR and driver license.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum requirement: 18 years or older with HS diploma/GED.
• Completion of the company's competency testing for HHA.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of application.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Aufgaben

• Provide personal care including hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, and basic health monitoring.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning tasks in clients' homes.
• Plan, shop for, prepare and serve meals; ensure a clean kitchen after meals.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and staff.
• Ensure client safety and assist with self-administration of medications after training.
• Document services and changes in client condition to the office; maintain clinical records per policy.

Position Overview

The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an individual who provides personal care, selected treatment procedures, minimal household tasks and occasional meal preparation under the advisory of a Registered Nurse for individuals with special needs in their homes. A Certified Nursing Assitant is a caring and compassionate person who has the maturity to assume the responsibilities that this position demands, someone with genuine concern for the sick or otherwise disabled, the ability to follow written and oral directions, as well as being able to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.

Schedule

Full Time visits needed weekly and on weekends

Essential Job Functions

• Perform personal care tasks including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
• Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
• Plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve meals, and clean up
• Communicate verbally with clients, client family members, and staff in a professional manner
• Ensure client safety while maintaining a safe environment
• Remind and assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
• Encourage self-help activities
• Report and Document services provided and changes in client's condition or family situation to the office
• Maintain clinical record documentation according to policy and procedures as well as state and federal regulations

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older with High school degree/GED
• Completion of the companies competency testing for HHA
• Valid Drivers license
• Acceptable MVR
• Valid CNA in the state of application
• Valid CPR

Preferred

• Minimum of one-year Hospice experience or LTC experience a plus
