Job summary

AccentCare in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to build strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs, and community partners to drive hospice referrals and educate referral sources about our services.

The role focuses on timely, high-quality patient care, collaborating with Admissions and Marketing, and ensuring compassionate transitions from referral to care. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of proven experience in home health, healthcare sales, or hospice sales.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
• Knowledge of hospice regulations and services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trusting relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs, and community organizations through in-person visits and educational conversations.
• Drive hospice sales by nurturing current relationships and identifying new referral opportunities.
• Conduct presentations and in-services to educate partners on hospice benefits and eligibility.
• Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing to create and execute community outreach plans.
• Partner with clinical staff to ensure referrals transition smoothly into care while prioritizing patient comfort and family support.
• Participate in training, planning outreach strategies, and honoring confidentiality.
