Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a customer service oriented Cook to join our hospice café team in West Palm Beach. This is a full-time role supporting patients, families, and staff by preparing meals with safety and compassion.

You’ll follow dietary guidelines, maintain clean stations, and assist with catering for events while upholding high standards of quality and respect in a caring, mission-driven environment. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks and serves meals for patients, staff and visitors.
• Food preparation, washing vegetables, assisting with catering orders.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs for food storage and meal service areas.
• Set up and restock food stations, salad bars, or beverage stations as needed.
• Follow special diet guidelines including diabetic, low-sodium, gluten-free, or allergy-specific meals.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures related to food handling and dietary care.
