By the Bay Health, a nonprofit hospice provider, seeks an Associate Bereavement Counselor/Intern to support the Grief Counseling program in Larkspur, CA with one remote day. The role offers supervision by licensed clinicians and opportunities for extensive training and documentation in EMR systems.

The position requires a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work, BBS registration, and at least 1 year of counseling experience, with a weekly schedule of 24 hours including one

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work; BBS registration required.
• 1+ years of ongoing counseling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of loss and grief counseling techniques; able to commit to 24 hrs/week.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients and families.
• Address emotional needs related to terminal illness, loss, and grief.
• Work under supervision of licensed clinicians in a fast-paced medical setting.
• Collaborate with hospice teams and community resources; travel to satellite sites as needed.
