Job summary

Bloom Hospice is seeking a PRN Associate Medical Director for San Antonio. The physician will lead hospice and palliative care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and guide complex symptom management.

Board certification in hospice and palliative medicine or equivalent hospice experience is preferred. Minimum two years in hospice/end-of-life care, valid medical license, and strong communication skills are essential for providing excellent patient and family support within Bloom

• Minimum of two years' hospic e/end-of-life care experience.
• Licensed physician in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide medical guidance for pain and symptom management.
• Support patients' families with compassionate communication.
• Evaluate new hospice admissions and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Mentor staff in palliative and hospice practices.

Position Overview:

As an Associate Medical Director at Bloom Hospice, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional hospice and palliative care services to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician with a board certification in hospice and palliative care, or a minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Provide expert medical guidance in pain and symptom management.
• Offer emotional support and communication to patients and their families.
• Participate in the evaluation and admission of new hospice patients.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the hospice program.
• Mentor and support healthcare staff in providing palliative and hospice care.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred).
• Minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care.
• Valid medical license in the state of Colorado.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
