Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide for night shifts in the Dayton area. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comfort, dignity and support to patients and families in the IPU setting.

This PRN role covers 7pm-7:30am at the Dayton Hospice House IPU, with occasional coverage at Troy/Middletown IPU. A CNA is preferred and employees may pursue CHPNA certification while on the job; driving and EMR documentation are part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred; training available.
• CHPNA certification preferred.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record.
• Able to pass background check and 10 panel drug screen.

As a PCS you will provide stellar care for our patients and their families. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

This is a PRN night shift position, 7pm-7:30am. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.
