Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide for the night shift (7pm–7:30am) in Dayton, OH. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comfort, dignity, and peace for patients and families.

This is a PRN role covering Dayton Hospice House IPU and may cover Troy/Middletown IPUs as needed. Training is provided for CNAs on the job, and CHPNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide is preferred; internal training is available.
• CHPNA certification is preferred; opportunities to obtain certification are available.
• Proficient computer skills for documenting in EMR systems.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record and proof of insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.
• Document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Cover night shifts at Dayton Hospice House IPU and Troy/Middletown IPUs when needed.

As a PCS you will provide stellar care for our patients and their families. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

This is a PRN night shift position, 7pm-7:30am. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.
